Wow! This really helped with the neck and thoracic muscle spasms I've had for the past week. My headache is gone! I'd added this to my faves list. Thank you, Amy Havens !
Question about using the foam roller: My neck felt unsupported and strained. Should I place a yoga block under my head or use a half roller instead?
Finally, I'd love a neck companion stretch. Even better, a series that also includes lower back and hips for us desk workers would be wonderful!
Thank you so much Liz and liza !! So happy that headache is gone! I used to suffer from headaches and I know much of it was due to tightness and weakness in my upper body. Glad this gave you relief too! Yes liza you can absolutely support your neck with a yoga block there, perfect!! Never strain, always look for additional supportive strategies! Let me think on your request! Thank you for this suggestion. Lots of desk folks out there could benefit from some additional options.
Thank you so much graceRebeccaNicolaLouise ! Our 'tight' shoulders are often due to possible rib cage and thoracic spine tightness and/or need for mobilization too. DEEP Breathing, often will also and does help shoulder 'stuff'. Let's all keep working on it!! :)
Great shoulder stretch. I’ve had infra spinatus and terres problems in my left shoulder for years. I can’t believe thecrelief I’m feeling right now, and how open and upright my upper thoacic feels after this class. Will be adding this as a daily stretch. Thank you.
Karen this makes me very happy! I have to work diligently on my shoulder ROM but I also spend a great deal of time o my thoracic spine too, for without mobility there, the shoulders will not be able to gain ROM as easily. Keep focussing on your T-Spine too!
