I took this class a few months ago and it blew me away with how much I learned and how I felt in my body. Over the past few days I did Brent's Back Care Workshop, then took this class again, and I feel as if my body has changed again. I feel as if my bones are suspended in space as in the final exercise of this class. So many gems, especially the rib cues in flexion, extension, lateral flexion and rotation! Thank you. More Brent please.
Getting quite late to this lesson (and the whole PilatesAnytime community), but really enjoyed to get back to Pilates after a few weeks without it... Just a question I hope somebody can answer. I really have difficulty with having my back straight when sitting on the floor with my legs straight (like you do for the saw, for example). Would it be ok if I bend my knees a bit? Thanks!
Brilliant, as usual - just the job for a niggly back today. The cats weren't too sure about the bee noises though! Thanks for another wonderful session - since taking up Pilates a few years ago, not even intensively, I'm a different person and feel at least ten years younger and probably more flexible than I've ever been! So much extra stamina too, which is invaluable with a garden maintenance occupation.
My Sister in law Julie recommended this class to me and i have just tried it for the first time. my back is moving freely now! In the last two years i have had two spinal operations and have had L4/5 and L5S1 removed following rupture. Exercise can be a little scary and I do tend to guard my back which results in poor posture and muscle tightness. Brent's class ticks all the boxes for me! Thankyou Brent (you make it fun too) Jo Driver
fantastic class I keep coming back to it, thank you for the beautiful cues and letting me adjust calmly my body and finding the length of the spine and its correct position.
I can't wait to do this session with my male client that was in a car wreck and wants to get back to playing golf.
Also, a question - in Peak we were trained on the side leg up/down to rotate leg up. I have never done it that way in all the many years I taught fitness classes before I got trained in Pilates. I noticed you did not turn the leg, is it because you were focusing on the back and/or do you always do your side leg up/down that way.
