The Pilates Anytime "State of the Pilates Industry" Survey

Covid upended so many parts of our lives, and the Pilates industry was not spared. We're looking at what has changed forever, and what remains the same.

The global pandemic has changed everything, from how we shop, to how our kids learn, to what we no longer leave the house without (hand sanitizer, anyone?). The Pilates industry was not immune to these seismic shifts in business as usual. Seemingly overnight, studios closed their doors, teachers started to connect with their students over platforms like Zoom, and many of us discovered the joys of working out in our living rooms. The latest must-have leggings gave way to comfy sweatpants as commuting to the gym or studio, fighting for a parking space, and even using mirrors to check our form fell by the wayside.

Depending upon where you live in the world, you may be inching back to normality, or you may still be in the thick of the pandemic. One thing is certain: we’re not going back to the way things were. Too many of those in our community have been too innovative and creative to do that.

To that end, Pilates Anytime is conducting a less than five-minute survey to understand the changes that occurred within the Pilates industry during the COVID-19 pandemic, and what we can expect our industry to look like going forward. We want to hear from you! Whether you are a passionate Pilates practitioner, a studio owner, an independent contractor, or an instructor at a health club or boutique Pilates studio, chances are your Pilates experience today looks very different from what it looked like prior to March of 2020. Your insights will help the team at PilatesAnytime.com create content and programming that better suits your needs and is tailored to the way you are currently practicing and/or teaching Pilates. Please take the survey and share it with your Pilates community.

We will be sharing the results and findings in a July edition of the Pilates Report, as well as on our blog. We hope you’ll participate in the survey. We look forward to gathering your insights and observations and then presenting them to you. In the meantime, take good care. We’ve all been through a lot.
