Anne P. Hi Anne, you are very welcome! t's absolutely ok to slow down some parts or even execute more reps of exercises that feels really good. Happy that your back feels great!
I would definitely rate this class as intermediate to advanced. I think anyone that is able to follow this pace and do all these exercices very likely does not have a stiff back. Not sure the objective and the level are in synch, but of course it was a very good class. Unfortunately some of the advanced exercices I needed to modify but then I lost the pace :( I'm not sure I would recommend this class to anyone with a stiff back, but surely anyone that does it will definitely not have a stiff back after! Something for me to aspire to! Thank you Ilaria.
sandyjgrant Hi Sandy! Thank you very much for your feedback and I’m really sorry about the disconnect. You are probably correct that the pace made it an intermediate to advanced class but the exercises are still pretty safe and doable at an intermediate level. Still, I see your point and will take it into consideration moving forward. 🙏🏼
sandyjgrant Regarding stiff backs I have to be honest… probably because I’m getting older 😩 but even if I’m still working out at a pretty advanced level I do wake up with a stiff back and I do need to do all those movements that I put in the class like translations, positive torsions and breathing to warm it up and get it moving. That was my intention and goal. Stiff back doesn’t necessarily mean a bad back but again I can see how more precise definitions would be beneficial. Thank you again for letting me know how you felt because that helps me customize future classes and provide appropriate and better content! 😘
Thank you ilaria, I enjoyed this pilates mat class for stiff backs. You provided excellent focus on different parts of the spine. This is extremely helpful to guide patients and clients with different spinal dysfunctions. I look forward to using the helpful instructions.
