Another great class by Dr. Brent! As a PT and Pilates practitioner, really appreciate all the subtle movements could benefit for people suffering from LBP and also the importance of proper muscle recruitment in doing the exercise. Looking forward to take Rehab courses from Polestar soon!
Brent... I am a Pilates teacher that had scoliosis surgery as a teenager... this class (especially 'typewriter') made my back feel better than it has in a long time... so thank you for this wonderful workout! Could you please go over the body mechanics of the last exercise 'scooter'... not sure how to position myself or a client for this movement... thank you.
I am so glad that you enjoyed the class and most importantly that it helped some of you feel so much better. Mary, on the scooter you want to push back into the lunge until the front knee is directly on top of the ankle or the tibia is vertical. then the back can be in a neutral position or even in a round back position depending on the variation. then the exercise is about the accent on the posterior leg coming in and out. Another variation of scooter is to use the hands or not use the hands, this of course makes more work for the standing leg. Hope that helps, b
Really interesting and it makes me want more classes like this. thank you so much! Not sure if you have done any on shoulders? One thing which may be considered in the future is the actual filming from different angles ?
