Amy, you take basic exercises that we are familiar with and then give them a little twist to make them so much more interesting. I love your style - Am going to teach this class to my clients now!
Hi Marcia....thank you so much! I do like to provide variety....or as I often say "variation on theme"! Maybe it's my dance background... but I also feel that students/clients need a little variety!
This was my Mothers Day Workout.. ty Amy, It was fluid, a bit challanging with the arm and shoulder work( just what I needed) and I felt great when I was finished.. The flying eagle I will admit to never having done. ( I know!) Great cues, great class Curious: I noticed the outline of a fireplace of the brick on the wall in front of tower.. Is your studio renovated from an old home or business? Just curious?
Jamie....what a nice comment, thank you! The last exercise is called Spread Eagle...I did say Flying, but then corrected myself! Just making sure you caught that. And you're seeing that correctly---there is an outlline of an old fireplace! My studio is in a building that is considered a historic building in Santa Barbara, built in the late 1900's! Not exactly sure what was in the space all the years before me, but, at one point it was an Aurthur Murray Dance Studio! It's got incredible energy!!
Amy, thats amazing! Aurthur Murray wow,,I can only imagine the postive energy floating around that studio! If the walls could talk huh? I would def look into the the orginal history. How interesting to know all that history! Would love to see it sometime. Your such a good teacher and I would so enjoy taking a live class with you. Take care
