Danielle English is a Tustin, California native with a BA in Dance from Loyola Marymount
University. She received her Comprehensive Pilates Certification with Dance Specialization
from BASI (Karen Clippinger) in 2010, and is also Barre certified by Equinox and Sports Club
LA. Danielle has over fifteen years of robust and diverse teaching experience, from group
reformer classes to privates on all apparatus, to group fitness and Pilates mat in gyms, as well as pre and post-natal and rehabilitation Pilates. Danielle firmly believes this movement benefits everyone and is for every body. No matter what it is that you do, Pilates will help you do it better.
Danielle is passionate about teaching functional movement with well-rounded programming that makes an immediate difference in the way the client moves through life. Her professional dance background and experience maintaining her own body throughout a performing career enriches and informs Danielle's approach to teaching. She finds her teaching specialty lies in her unique, layered, and descriptive cuing, helping clients connect to each exercise through figurative language. She hopes to empower her clients to move intelligently, leaving them with increased physical awareness and knowledge of their own movement potential.
After teaching and performing for many years in both NYC and LA, Danielle now resides in
Huntington Beach and is the Lead Instructor for Speir Pilates Newport Beach.
