I encourage my clients to take responsibility for their own wellness by taking initiative of their own practice. When we are in the studio for a Pilates session we need to carry over the body mechanics into our everyday life. With efficient movements happening throughout our day, we can hopefully find that spontaneous zest Joe was talking about.

I encourage my clients to take responsibility for their own wellness by doing what I do every day that has changed my life, diminished pain in my body, and made me aware of movement patterns. This includes Focused Decompression Breaths and Hip Hinging in everyday common activities from unloading the dishwasher, picking up Pilates props from the floor, and even lifting my toddler.

Pilates is a self-healing toolkit and the knowledge that comes from learning about how your body works is powerful enough to change lives. If the client knows the "why" and "how" behind the exercises they are then so much more motivated to stay on top of their own Pilates wellness program. It is my absolute pleasure to be able to pass on this life knowledge to clients and to other teachers in training.
