Wow Michaela, I'm so glad to hear that it helps your headaches! I agree, the feeling of sinking into the mat is really special... proving yet again how much tension we normally carry around our spines without even noticing it till it leaves.
I finally experienced this class in its entirety, and it was exactly what my body has been craving. I will return to this throughout the holidays for the restorative aspects, and as an instructor to rebalance and release my body. Thank you, Ruth! Could you do something similar for tower and reformer?
Kim Wyatt, very grateful it's working for you. Your comment made me laugh.... I have been known, on days when I'm especially out of it, to try to give myself a workout on the reformer and after about 20 minutes, doze off before the next exercise.... at least on the roller I'd fall off if that happened.... But I'll seriously think about it. I'm intrigued!
Feel completely different on the roller now that I did this class. Now more relaxed, aligned & energized all at the same time. This is just to "go do something serious?" you say? I think this is seriously fantastic. Thank you!
Thank you Kimberly - exactly! Our society has such a construct around "exercise". Opening up, as you say, and feeling oneself, feeling better from movement: that's my teaching mission!
