Sherri, I actually tried the two exercises (stick and gurtle) and could immediately see that 'the longer leg' is actually an SI dysfunction. I'M SO GREATFUL, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TEACHING THIS TECHNIQUE. She's been doing it since then before every class and feels relief.
Thank you for having such an amazing, knowledgable, well informed group of instructors such as Sherri Betz. I am learning so much from each and every one of them. Keep up the fantastic work everyone.
Dear Zoe, The leg length has nothing to do with choosing the side to correct. The choice of correction has to do with the way the pelvis is rotated. If the right ilium is anteriorly rotated, then you will use the right glute and left hip flexor to make the pelvic correction.
I loved this tutorial, I've been suffering for pelvis misalignment for a long time, plus my hips are popping al the time. I am going to do these exercises before my workout, to individualize the right muscles.Thank you
Yes, SI dysfunction can cause one leg to seem longer.
