Amy I love your classes! Recently diagnosed with osteoporosis I am adapting my practice as you suggest. But I am worried I will lose mobility in spinal flexion. I have an 8% risk of fracture currently. Can I still do unloaded flexion?
Hi Joanne Kelly.....thanks for your comment and so glad you enjoy my classes. I think a bit of elongated unloaded flexion could be ok, focusing on lower lumbar mainly. The bigger risk, is of course, in loaded flexion. Keep your segments as open as possible ... as often as possible!
Amy I love this workout - it feels very safe. Regarding spinal flexion with osteoporosis. .....I understand the risks with loaded flexion - but do you think it appropriate to do mat based flexion exercises to ensure spinal flexibility is not compromised in the long term?
