Hi Amy, thanks so much for this great tutorial (and for the one on cues, too!), it was really helpful. I’m new to Pilates, but I’ve been doing yoga for quite some time. I did a few classes to understand the fundamentals of Pilates, but after that I was a bit lost, finding the movements of the beginner classes not challenging enough - while still struggling with the speed in some of them (too much information to process at once). I ended up feeling frustrated. I’ve been trying to find my bearings for two weeks before actually stumbling upon this video of yours. I now understand better where I stand. I’ve just done a slowly-paced intermediate magic circle class and absolutely loved it. Thanks for your clear explanations and instructions, you’ve given me confidence!
Anja thank you for taking the time to leave this thorough comment for me here.  Welcome to the world of the Pilates Method!!  It can take time to understand some of the initial and fundamental concepts and while 'beginner' classes sometimes may not feel 'challenging enough', enjoy the simplicity!  The beauty is how the natural progression takes place!  I'm so glad you stumbled upon this video and that I was able to help you -- that's my purpose!  Please reach out with any questions you may have.  I've been teaching nearly 28 years and absolutely love helping those who are new to this method understand and embrace the fundamentals.  I believe it's the most important phase of creating a relationship with Pilates.  Reach out any time!
